Kaohong Market, Suphan Buri

     Kaohong Market is a popular historical and eco-tourism attraction, where you will see the art of painting, traditional market where there are no crowded peoples, old wooden house with decayed galvanized iron roof looking attractive, and foods rare to find in other place. The market is located on riverside of Suphan Buri River (Tha Chin River), where you should not miss.

     Kaohong Market is a community of market stalls opposite to Ban Kaohong. This market was active in 78 years ago, with a role as a commercial center of peoples in the field at the west of Bangplama. It is also a passage of passenger ships between Suphan-Ngiew Rai.   The Kaohong Market includes 3 markets:

1. Talad Bon: it’s aged about 74 years, and a kind of two-storey wooden shophouse, in Chinese architectural style, with about 20 rooms. It was built by Phra Chan Suwannakhet.

2. Talad Klang: it’s aged about 74 years old. Originally, it was a mill of Mr. Thongdee and later, it was reconstructed as a shophouse with about 10 rooms in Chinese architectural style.

3. Talad Lang: it’s the oldest one aged about 104 years as a two-storey wooden shophouse, in Chinese architectural style, with about 20 rooms, built by Mr. Bunrod Liangpanich.
