Ao Nang (Nang Harbor), Krabi province

     Ao Nang or Ao Nang Beach is located in Ao Nang sub-district, Mueang district, Krabi province. It is a bend curve harbor about 6 km. in which surrounding scenery is full of lime mountain range. It is the most famous tourist attraction in Krabi province.

     The reason why both Thai and foreign tourists like to visit Ao Nang is not only its beauty of the sea, beach, and lime wall, but Ao Nang is also situated closed to other famous tourist attractions, and it is very convenient to travel across Lime Mountain to the eastside to visit Railay Beach by long-tailed boat. Moreover, Ao Nang is a port to access to Koh PP, and Koh Lanta as there are 2 times of boat a day. There is Koh Por Da or you can scuba dive to watch the beauty of coral at Koh Hong and continue at parted sea or take photos at Koh Kai.

     Archipelago in Ao Nang Sea is one of important tourist attractions in Ao Nang sub-district, Mueang Krabi district because it is located near the city and can be always accessed to. It consists of many small islands; such as Koh Por Da, Koh Hua Khwan, Koh Kai, Koh Thab, Koh Mor, Koh Bongbong, and Koh Rangkai. Important beaches are; Ao Nang Beach, Nopparat Thara Beach, and Railay Beach.

     Ao Nang is one of commercial districts, so we make a stop and taste seafood at Wang Sai Seafood with shell menus for a night. / Fair market although it is not so huge, artworks and foods are never expensive at all. / During late night, it is more vigorous, and people start roaming and looking for entertainment and shopping.

     The bend curve road along the sea of Ao Nang Beach is the location where it full of shops and lights in the night. It is like a vigorous world of color located at the seaside. According to this reason, most tourists like to visit Ao Nang in the night. Every entertainment venue, club, bar and restaurant is full of tourists, and they live cheerfully in those entertainment venues.

     Travel by car – From Bangkok, take Highway No.4 to Chum Phon and take Highway No.4 to pass Lang Suan district, Chaiya district in Surat Thani province and enter Wiang Sa district using Highway No.4035 to enter Ao Luek district, and access to Highway No.4 again to reach Krabi province.
