Art of Salt at Khleua Road, Ban Laem, Phetchaburi

          In Phetchaburi, there is a route along the Gulf of Thailand from the junction at Km72, Samut Songkhram Province, through Ao Bang Tabun, Bang Khun Sai, Pak Thale, Laem Phak Bia to Chao Samran Beach, Beuk Tian Beach and Cha Am Beach, where there are tourist attractions, such as way of living of fishing community at mangrove forest, way of living of salt farmers, sources for bird watching, places for study of the Royal Project, ideal for those driving, those who love thee nature , and those who ride on bikes to watch the natural, relax and take photos at points. Especially from November to May every year, there is a lot of salt farming along two roadsides causing beautiful scenery. But most tourists often drive through or stop to take photos only.

          To promote learning, coupled with travelling in the routes of travel, especially SorSor.2021 which is a beautiful Scenic Route to be known more, TAT Phetchaburi Office has organized a tour activity in the season of salt farming so that tourists and those interested in will know the sea salt, lifestyle and salt farming in Ban Laem District, Phetchaburi Province, where is No.1 in sea salt production of the country to be widely known. This is expected to create a valuable learning experience for visitors. It also creates a trial to tourism activities for people in the area to further create activities of learning tourism in the future.

          During the period 13 - 15 March 2015, the event titled "Art of Salt" will be held at the area around Km.41, Road No. SorSor.2021. Inside the event, you will see salt sculptures as the first time of Thailand among the atmosphere on the Gulf of Thailand, relax with salt spa, enjoy driving a salt roller, enjoy eating and shopping souvenirs at Im Suk Market, starting from 09.00 - 20.00 hrs., organized by the TAT Phetchaburi Office in corporation with Phetchaburi Rajabhat University, Biz Club network, and OTOP network of Phetchaburi Province.
